SFHS Devils, Lady Devils pull off victory against Fulton Co. teams

The Red Devils and Lady Red Devils opened their season at home against the Obion County Central Rebels and Lady Rebels on Nov. 27.

The Lady Red Devils were defeated 45-39.

Amber Lemon led the Lady Red Devils in points as she hit four-three point baskets, one field goals, and two of her three free throws.

McDaniel had six points. Murphy and Buchanan also contributed five points each. McMinn had three points, McClerkin and Quinn each had two points.

The Lady Red Devils hit eight of their 14 (57%) free throws.

The Red Devils were also defeated 61-52.

Brock Brown led the Red Devils in scoring as he hit two field goals, two-three point baskets, and four of six (67%) free throws.

Dashun Bradshaw also hit four of six free throws for four of his 12 points. Rider Whitehead had 11 points.

Blake Johnson and Bryce McFarland had seven points a piece, and Eli Carlisle had one point.

The Red Devils hit 15 of their 23 (65%) free throws.

The Lady Red Devils and Red Devils took on the Westview Chargers Nov 29.

The Lady Red Devils couldn’t pull out a win finishing the game with a score of 59-24.

Murphy and Sophia Hodges each contributed six points each, with Lemon adding five points and four rebounds. Quinn scored three points.

The Red Devils finished three points shy of a victory, 52-49.

Both South Fulton High School teams come out with a win over the Fulton County Pilots and Lady Pilots Nov. 30.

The final score to the Lady Red Devils vs the Lady Pilots was 51-33.

Amber Lemon dominated the basket, with 39 points on the night.

Niecey Quinn scored five points and Allison Murphy pulled down nine rebounds.

Sophia McMinn pulled off four steals.

The Red Devils finished the game with a buzzer beater shot bringing the score to 56-55.

In the first game on their schedule, Nov. 17, South Fulton Lady Red Devils was plagued with multiple turnovers, ending the night with a 58-14 loss against USJ.

Freshman Sophia Hodges scored six, McClerkin added three, Meleah Sturgeon and Erin McDaniel, two a piece and Quinn added a point.
