Season begins for Archery team

The Hickman County Archery Team has begun competition for the 2018-2019 season. They began Dec. 8 in the Murray Tiger Season Kickoff.

In the Middle School Divisions Cora Clark earned second with as score of 281, James Clark placed fourth with a score of 276. Callie Douglas placed ninth with a 271. In Elementary Divisions, Allyson Parker earned first place with a 250, and Will Lupton placed ninth with 230.

Also competing were Brooklyn Naranjo, 257; Dallas Williford, 246; Kassey Douglas, 237; Nate Gallimore, 214; and Ella Terry, 197.

On Dec. 15, the team competed in two tournaments: Arrowcat Winter Warmup Ibo 3D Shoot and Arrowcat Winter Warmup Bullyseye.

In the 3-D shoot, three Hickman County students placed in the top 10 in the Middle School Girls Division.

Callie Douglas earned first with a score of 280, Brooklyn Naranjo was sixth with 254, and Cora Clark was seventh with 251. James Clark placed fifth with a 248 and Nate Gallimore was sixth with a 225 for Middle School Boys Division.

In the Elementary Division Allyson Parker was first place with a score of 244. Dallas Williford (225), Kassey Douglas (202), Ella Terry (195), and Will Lupton (149) also competed.

In the bullseye shoot, Allyson Parker placed sixth in the Elementary Girls Division with a score of 236. In the Middle School Divisions, James Clark placed seventh with a score of 270 and Cora Clark was ninth with a score of 270. Others who competed were Hannah Carroll (267), Callie Douglas (263), Dallas Williford (250), Brooklyn Naranjo (233), Nate Gallimore (232), Kassey Douglas (212), Ella Terry (175), and Will Lupton (140).

The team’s next competition is Jan. 5 at Murray High School.
