2019 Banana Bunch

Several members of the 2019 Banana Festival Committee met recently to begin budget planning for this year’s Banana Festival, scheduled for September in the Twin Cities of Fulton and South Fulton. Chairpersons have been confirmed for most of the weeklong festival’s events, however according to Fulton Tourism Director Thea Vowell, volunteers are always needed. Among event chairpersons on hand for the Jan. 31 meeting were Cassie Jones, who will chair the Banana Ball, assisted by Danielle Grogan, Melissa Jackson, who will chair the Fulton’s Got Talent show, Debbie and John Gambill, who will oversee the making of the giant Banana Pudding and the Banana Cabana, Becky Holtzclaw, who will assist with the creation of the float and decorations, Vowell, Cory and Lori Edmison, who will coordinate the Photography contest and the tee shirt sales and Kyle Crawford, Top Banana membership chair.
