Making Seniors Smile

March 06, 2019

Jeff Morris with Morris Farms of South Fulton recently presented Smiles on Seniors, S.O.S., Coordinator Sharye Hendrix with a contribution for the 501c3 organization, to use in her programs for senior adults in the Twin Cities of Fulton and South Fulton and the surrounding area. Morris said he and his family see the programs as an important ministry for Seniors adults, as Hendrix facilitates the Lunch Bunch, for groups to meet and dine together during the lunch hour locally, the Smiles on Seniors Book Club, which partners with the Fulton Public Library providing books for reading; and Seniors Night Out, when adults 55 and older meet for dinner at a local restaurant; as well as scenic tours to locations such as Reelfoot Lake. Morris said he would like to see other area businesses contribute to this program, as well as help meet other needs of charitable organizations locally.
