Fulton County Detention Center escaped inmate captured

Robert Lee Addair, a Fulton County Detention Center inmate, escaped from custody at the Fulton County Courthouse, in Hickman at approximately 12:35 p.m. March 14.

Addair fled on foot down to the floodwall and then scaled over the wall into the water.

The initial responders were able to maintain a visual of Addair while he was in the water while awaiting boats to arrive, and he was apprehended by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Ryan Amberg and Brandon Mayo, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Chad Parker, by boat and taken back into custody at approximately 1:03 p.m. Addair was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of possible exposure to the elements, and will be charged with escape upon his return to Fulton County Detention Center.

According to Fulton County Jailer Steven Williams, in his press release to The Current, he said “We will be conducting a thorough review of the case to determine the facts of what exactly happened in this incident. I do wish to praise the quick response and aid in the apprehension of Addair by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Ky Fish and Wildlife, City of Hickman Public Works, Hickman Police Department and the Fulton County Rescue Squad.”

Addair was in custody on a host of charges, ranging from Burglary to Theft to Fleeing Police. He is also wanted for charges in Florida for Robbery.
