Fulton Independent BOE approves "Any/All" non-resident contract with Fulton County

March 20, 2019

Members of the Fulton Independent Board of Education, with a recommendation from Superintendent Dr. DeAnna Miller, approved a non-resident contract with Fulton County Schools during regular session Tuesday evening, and included with the contract was Fulton County's $30,000 contribution toward a staff member who would serve both school districts.

Dr. Miller told board members Debbie Vaughn, Carol Bransford, Bill Robertson, Christy Pettigrew and Rea Jones she had been involved with conversations Fulton County Superintendent Aaron Collins, with both boards' attorneys also communicating, and throughout the discussion, it was brought to her attention that a previous Superintendent had suggested the districts share personnel, specifically an art teacher, as part of the agreement for the non-resident contract.

Dr. Miller said she would prefer the sharing of a Math Interventionist between the district, and Mr. Collins had suggested with the Any/All contract, Fulton County would forward $30,000 toward the financing of the shared service.

The non-resident contract gives approval for the transfer of Average Daily Attendance funds.
