How much time do you spend face to face with your medical provider? Nationally when you go to the doctor you may spend 17.5 minutes with the Doctor and 41 minutes waiting. Stephanie Wilder, founder of Priority One Medical , wanted to increase face to face time with the patient as well as decrease their wait time. Her solution was a mobile office that comes to you. This not only cuts down wait time but also cuts down on sick days you would have to take to go to a normal doctor.

Priority One has been in business since April 3rd, 2018. Mrs. Wilder started her clinic and it has since grown significantly. She is working with many corporations to not only examine the employees but to ensure that they have proper safety equipment. Priority One is still in the process of growing and reaching new people.
This type of medical help is new to the area but has been implemented across the country. Mrs. Wilder chose this way of business because she was disappointed with what the medical industry had become. She left her job of five years because she was disgusted with how little time she spent with the patents and how much time she spent looking at a computer. The way Priority One works is the complete opposite of the traditional medical care we are used to. Priority One is relationship based medical care that gives both parties the reassurance that the right thing is being done.

Priority One is currently a three-person team with someone always on hand for your needs. Of course, there is Stephanie Wilder who is a certified physician assistant (PA-C). Also, on the Priority One team is Sue Miller who is the supervising medical doctor (M.D.). Jenna Dubruiel is currently working part time for additional coverage, she is also a PA-C. They have over 41 combined years of experience together, giving them the expertise needed for any problem they meet.

In February, Mrs. Wilder met with a local business class from South Fulton Middle and High school. She wanted them to come up with a good advertising campaign that matched her business’s uniqueness.

Mrs. Wilder chose this over traditional ways to have a fresh, new outlook as well as ideas. She wanted something new and never done before and who better to do that then the bright minds of today’s youth.

For being a new business, Priority One is sure making an impact. From helping people and businesses be healthier to giving teens some real world experience in their field of study, Mrs. Wilder is hitting all aspects of the Obion county community. She is hoping to continue helping the community and the people living there in a multitude of ways for years to come.
