Coach Lisa Britton said for this season, the Lady Falcons are looking to pick up where they left off last season — playing wise.
“The Lady Falcons finished the year 13-17, but won nine of the last 12 games,” she said.

“We finished the season playing good softball and wanting to start this season off the same,” she adde.
“We are still a young team with three juniors, one sophomore, five freshmen, six eighth graders, and one seventh grader.” Britton said, “But, these are the same girls that got a lot of experience last season and that will be an advantage to our side.”
The team is led by juniors Gracie Lusk, Mallorie Hobbs, and Emma Whitlock and sophomore Bella Batts. Lusk and Batts led the team offensively.
Lusk finished the season hitting. .573 with eight home runs and multiple extra bases and Batts hit .500 with five home runs and led the team in RBI’s.
Lusk is strong on the mound, but will be playing multiple positions when needed.
Britton said that freshman Jacey Rushing will be taking the mound and be a positive impact for the team this season, defensively and offensively.
“We are looking to improve each game, as we did last season and continue to improve in the areas that hurt us last season,” Britton said, “When playing up to our potential, I feel as if we can compete with almost anyone.”

The Lady Falcons goals for this season are to repeat as District Champions, along with competing in the All A tourney and in the Regional Tourney.
