SERVICE APPRECIATED – The Hickman City Commission presented Police Officer Ray Smith with a Certificate of Appreciation for recognition of 28 years of service to the Hickman Police Department at the City Commission meeting June 11. Smith said, “I never thought it would be 28. It has been some hard days and some good days and if I had it to do over again I still would become a police officer. It is in my blood.” Smith has also served in the National Guard and regular Army for 20 years. Smith received three DD214 as a Vietnam veteran, Persian Gulf, and Iraq, serving in the Navy.
