On April 9 at Graves County High School, 29 of the top high school students learning at seven regional technical centers across Western Kentucky were honored by the Associated General Contractors of Western Kentucky. The students honored represented the best of the best.

Jaron Pryor, a senior at Fulton High School and the Four Rivers Career Academy in Hickman, received the top honor of the Associated General Contractors of Western Kentucky as student of the year. Pryor was also named student of the year at the Four Rivers Career Academy.

Pryor has attended Fulton Independent Schools all his academic life. He has also attended the Four Rivers Career Academy the past two years.

As AGC student of the year, Jaron will receive a $1,000 prize. He plans to use this money to continue his education beginning this August at the College of America in Clarksville, Tenn. His major will be in operating heavy equipment.

Pryor will graduate on May 11 from the West Kentucky Community and Technical College with a certificate in Automotive Technology Program. He will also graduate with honors from Fulton Independent Schools May 24.

Technical education matters, and Fulton Independent Schools is a proud partner of the Four Rivers Career Academy in Hickman with many students attending the technical center.
