May 21, 2019

The Joshua Taylor Memorial Scholarship, formerly the Friends of Fulton County Scholarship, is awarded in celebration of the life of Joshua Taylor, who passed away in May 2017.

Taylor was a 2003 graduate of Fulton County High School, who loved Fulton County and was a proud member of the baseball team, served as Chapter FFA President, was the Regional Star Farmer, and an Eagle Scout.

After graduating from FCHS, Taylor attended Murray State University, earning both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. He then served for several years in the Peace Corps, living in a small remote village in Suriname, South America.

This year, the recipients of the Joshua Taylor Memorial Scholarship are: Jelynda Elliott and Jake Mayo, members of the Fulton County High School Class of 2019.
