Shirley Ann Hood Mann, a resident of South Fulton, died June 21 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tenn. She was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, in Fulton, with Bro. Danny Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. June 23. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Cathey, Sherri Proctor (Jason) and Denise Mann, all of South Fulton, and Debbie MacDonald (Rick), of Counce, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Valerie Bynum, Curtis Cathey (Allie), David Proctor, Brittney Proctor, Samantha Mann, all of South Fulton; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Bynum, Sophia Cathey, Lucas Cathey and soon to arrive Charles “Charlie” Jacob Cathey; her siblings, Carolyn Clay, of Hueytown, Ala., Patricia Bowden (Raymond), of Louisville, and Tony (Diane) Cunningham, of Moscow, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leroy “Roy” and Mildred Magdalene Bryan Hood; her stepmother, Ada Ruth Hood; stepfather, George Cunningham; two brothers, Larry Hood and Jerry Mac Hood; and a son-in-law, Charles Cathey.

Born Nov. 26, 1941 in Markedtree, Ark., she was a member of the Riceville Baptist Church and had worked for Waymatic, Inc. in the shipping and receiving department, after retiring she went to work for Twin City Care and served on the board of directors. She was a member of the Fulton Jaycees and the Eagles Club.
