Veterans Honored

Robert Louis Hughes, right, was acknowledged as the “Oldest Living Veteran” in Hickman, and John Murray, left, was honored for his service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars on Aug. 9 at the Hickman Chamber of Commerce’s “Salute Our Veterans”. The Ice Cream Social and Cake Auction was held from 5 – 7 p.m. at the We Believe Center at West Hickman Baptist Church. Other special guests during the night included Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard, Combat Vets, and Hickman American Legion Post 57. (Photos submitted)
