J.C. JACKSON

J.C. Jackson, a resident of Water Valley, died Sept. 21 at his residence. He was 91.

Funeral services were held Sept. 24 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Jeff Cruse and Rev. Kevin Keeling officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Fuller, of Water Valley, Debbie Gardner, of Union City, Tenn., Donna Jackson Robinson, of Lewisville, Texas and Angie Spraggs, of Paducah; one son, John Jackson of Fulton; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Vaughn Jackson; two brothers; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Chloe Burkett.

Born June 30, 1928 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Jack and Onice Conner Jackson.

He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Fulgham and one of his greatest passions was to lead the singing at Crutchfield Baptist Church. He worked at Small Heating and Air in Fulton for 35 years and was a United States Army Veteran.
