Pilots’ Cross Country runners compete in Classic

Fulton County Cross Country teams participated in the Eagle Classic Sept. 21, at Graves County in Mayfield, with the results as follows:

Caleb Joyce, eighth grade at McCracken County won the Middle School Boys 3K run, with a time of 11:38.91, in a field of 66 runners.

A field of 52 runners participated in the Middle School Girls 3K run won by Emma Martin, seventh grade, Calloway County Middle School, with a time of 13:10.36.

Austin Cavanaugh, ninth grade, at Trigg County won the Varsity Boys 5K run, with a time of 17:36.78, in a field of 77 runners.

Participants from Fulton County were Wesley Brown, ninth grade, 13th, 19:36.44; Daniel Collins, eighth grade, 24th, 20:17.99; Chade Everett, tenth grade, 40th, 20:53.48; Harrison Posey, junior, 44th, 21:30.74; Logan Griffiths, eighth grade, 48th, 21:52.21; Jay Sipes, sophomore, 59th, 23:12.18; and Mark Berg, senior, 63rd, 23:57.69.

Varsity Boys 5,000 Meter Run team scores had Fulton County in sixth place, 160, 13, 24, 38, 41, 44, 53, 57; total time: 1:44.11; Average: 20:50.18 1-5; Split: 2.16.

Varsity Girls 5K run was won by Kate Keller, junior, Crittenden County, at 21:32.37, in a field of 66 runners.

Fulton County runners were Emma Madding, eighth grade, 6th, 23:30.08; McKayden McClure, seventh grade, 14th, 24:31.86; Callie Coulson, junior, 18th, 24:38.31; Marlena Sipes, senior, 22nd, 25:09.06; Au’Jha Robinson, seventh grade, 26th, 25:57.31; Hannah Varden, eighth grade, 40th, 30:11.65; Caylee Slinkard, seventh grade, 60th, 35:52.11; and Taylor Everett, sophomore, 65th, 38:16.02.

Fulton County Girls 5,000 meter run earned third place, 79, 6, 13, 16, 20, 24, 35, 46; Total Time: 2:03:47; Average: 24:45.33 1-5; Split: 2:28.
