Lady Devils lose to Lady Generals in Tournament

The South Fulton Middle School Lady Devils completed seasonal play at the hands of the Lake Road Lady Generals over the weekend, suffering a 9-0 loss in tournament play.

Lake Road maintained a 4-0 lead i the first three innings, then tacked on four runs and one run in innings four and five, respectively.

Maddie Gray took the loss for SFMS, walking four.

Gray and teammate Hadley Barnes were top hitters for the Lady Devils.

Union City Middle School’s Lady Tornados handed the SFMS Lady Devils a loss Sept. 26, 11-3.

Hadley Barnes had one RBI, with Gray and Barnes big hitters for the game.

Union City took a 6-1 first inning lead, with South Fulton managing to hold the Lady Tornados in the second inning, while they added another run.

The Lady Devils brought another player home in the third inning of play, but so did Union City, ending the third inning with a score of 7-3, Union City.

The score at the end of the fourth was the score at the end of the six-inning game, with the Lady Tornadoes scoring four runs, and SF held to 3.

South Fulton Middle School’s Lady Red Devils dominated Lake County Middle School’s Lady Falcons at the plate and from the mound Sept. 25, in an abbreviated three inning contest, 22-0.

South Fulton’s Maddie Gray walked two and struck out six, herself recording three RBIs for SFMS and among top hitters in the contest.

The Lady Devils took a 4-0 lead in one inning of play, added 11 runs in the second and seven more runs in the third, shutting down Lake County’s offense.

Lake County walked 19 Lady Devil at-bats, and stuck out three.

Hadley Barnes and Lydia Carlisle topped batters, with Lydia Carlisle banking three RBIs, Anna Claire Barnes having two RBIs, Hadley Barnes and Piper Lusk had one each.
