Thanks to the generosity of the Twin Cities and neighboring communities, and the hard work of the Twin Cities Men’s Organization, over $8,000 was raised from an online auction of donated items.

Beginning the third week of November, items were posted for bidding through Constant Online Auctions, on facebook. Items could also be viewed by the public at Constant Auction’s location in Fulton.

Items ranged from dining room sets, to gift certificates, toys, clothing, home decor, tools and baked goods.

“We would like to thank businesses and the general public for your participation,” said Cory Edmison, T.C.M.O. Treasurer.

“We thank everyone involved and a special thanks to Constant Online Auctions. The way it looks, we will do it again next year,” he said, adding the organization is in the process of exploring other projects for children, and possibly the elderly in need.

A number of participants in the project were recognized by the T.C.M.O., including Luan Kirby, who won the brick of 22’s, along with Lisa Pruitt, for top bidders on baked goods; Owen Gunn, who was the designated largest contributor of items, after emptying his toy closet; Sam Hancock, who was the largest monetary donor; Anthony Constant, “Big Spender”; Stephanie Hamilton, Best Baker; and Pruitt, who also won the drawing for White Squirrel Winery wine.

All proceeds generated from the auction will go toward the T.C.M.O. project to fund a shopping trip for Fulton and South Fulton children during the Christmas season, to purchase clothing and other essentials.
