AREA OBITUARIES -- KENNETH BLINCOE

Kenneth Dale Blincoe, a resident of Mayfield, died Jan. 9 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was 85.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 13 at Byrn Funeral Home, in Mayfield, with Rev. Darrick Holloman will officiating. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. Graveside military rites were conducted by American Legion Post #26. Interment followed at Hickman City Cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Blincoe; one daughter, Pamela Parker, of Mayfield; four brothers, Joe (Julia) Blincoe of Madras, Ore., Don “Buz” Blincoe, of Hickman, Robert (Donna) Blincoe, of Texas, and David (Sue) Blincoe, of Union City, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Christopher Robinette, of Brentwood, Tenn., Daniel (Amy) Johnson, of Chicago, Ill., Jennifer (Paul) LeBlond, of Edmond, Okla., and Raleigh Elizabeth Parker, of Mayfield; and four great-grandchildren, Jason Robinette and Jessa Robinette, both of Charleston, SC, and Justin Robinette and John Robinette, both of Brentwood.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Robinette; and his parents, John Davis and Elizabeth Hurt Blincoe.

He was a member and Sunday School teacher at High Point Baptist Church, a member of Gideons International and a retired resident engineer of the KY State Highway Department.
