Obion County Schools’ plan for provision of meals to students revised

March 31, 2020

According to information received from Obion County Director of Schools Tim Watkins, effective April 2, Obion County Schools will increase the number of meals provided to children to include Saturdays.
Meal pick-ups will be available on Mondays and Thursdays at the current locations on the school system’s website.

“We will be providing three meals on each of these days.
The revised procedures, according to Watkins, is in an effort to reduce potential exposure of COVID-19 to school system employees and the children in Obion County.

The revised plan is also in response to recommendations from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee to limit, when possible, even services that are deemed to be “essential”.
