Area churches, worship centers will offer innovation, inspirational options for Holy Week, Easter Sunday

(Editor’s Note: The Current made an attempt to contact churches and worship centers now listed on our weekly Church Directory section, to inquire about plans for Holy Week and/or Easter Sunday events. The Current also published on our Facebook page, a request for churches to forward by email, planned events and activities for Holy Week and/or Easter Sunday.)

First Baptist Church of Clinton, and Pastor Tim Perdue have prepared Passion Week packets containing a devotion guide for Palm Sunday through Easter, containing items for each day of Passion Week, such as a piece of wood and a nail representing the cross, a linen cloth and a rock representing the empty tomb of Jesus, a self contained Lord’s Supper cup and wafer for use on Easter Sunday, when the church will observe a Facebook Live Lord’s Supper service.

Facebook Bible Study will be held at 6 p.m. April 8; Good Friday Facebook service will be held at noon on April 10; Facebook Live Easter service at 10:50 on April 12; Facebook Live Lord’s Supper observance at 6 p.m. April 12; and according to Pastor Perdue, a Resurrection Celebration is to be arranged the first Sunday the church is able to come back together for services.

Cayce Baptist Church will have Sunrise Services April 12, at 6:30 a.m., at their pavilion. Morning worship services will begin at 11 a.m., at the pavilion also.

First Baptist Church in Fulton will go live on Facebook, First Baptist Church, Fulton Ky., You Tube, and the church’s website, fbcfulton.org, at 10:30 a.m. April 12.

Mt. Olive Baptist Church in South Fulton, Tenn., will have a Drive-In style worship April 12, at 11 a.m.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman, St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton, and St. Jude Catholic Church in Clinton will hold restricted Holy Week services.

Cayce United Methodist Church and Crutchfield United Methodist Church will hold a joint Drive-In style morning worship service at 11 a.m., at Cayce. There will also be a cross for fresh flowers to be inserted, and those planning to attend may come early to place flowers and observe social distancing.

First United Methodist Church of Clinton will stream their worship service on Facebook.

Faith Fellowship Community Church in Fulton will hold services at 9 a.m., on their Facebook page.

Turning Point Ministry in Hickman will have Easter services April 12, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor McClure said, “We will have a formal service with limited seating. Once we reach capacity, no one else will be able to attend so we can maintain our social distancing.”

Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton will have a live stream on You Tube at 10 a.m. April 12. They also do a Facebook podcast during the week. If you would like to have the church’s link emailed to you, send your request to ParkwaycocFulton@gmail.com.
