Hickman County Fair events slated

The Hickman County Fair will be held Aug. 2-4 at the fairgrounds in Clinton.

On Thursday, August 2 there will be ATV/UTV/3 wheeler races. Check in time is 5:30 p.m. and races will begin at 7 p.m.

On Friday, August 3 there will be 300 foot dirt drags with two wheel drive and four wheel drive classes. Check in time is 5:30 p.m. and races will begin at 7 p.m. The local band Overwatch will play live music from 5:30 p.m. until the races begin at 7 p.m.

Stevens Aircraft Solutions will be at the fair on Thursday and Friday nights to offer helicopter rides over the City of Clinton.

On Aug. 4 the Hickman County Fair Cruisin’ Car Show will be located at the First Assembly of God Church. Parking for spectators will be at the fairgrounds with shuttles available to the Car Show. Entries start at 8 a.m. through 12 p.m.

Also, on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 4-H and kids events will be held at the fairgrounds.

The 300 foot mud drag races will be held at the fairgrounds on Saturday night. Check in time for contestants will be at 5:30 p.m. and the races will begin at 7 p.m.

The Hickman County FFA Cornhole Tournament will begin at the fairgrounds at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $25 a team with a 50/50 payout.

Concessions will be available all nights. Clinton Bank will be sponsoring three inflatables that will be free to kids 12 and under. Gate fees each night is $5, children 12 and under are free admission.
