AmazonSmile shoppers could assist local ambulance service
Support for the Ken-Tenn EMS ambulance service may now be garnered through online purchases made using Amazon.
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon, with the same products, pricing and shopping features as Amazon.com.
The one difference is that when shopping is done through AmazonSmile, that foundation will donate .5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of choice.
Customers using AmazonSmile are prompted to select a charitable organization from over one million eligible organizations.
According to Ken-Tenn EMS board secretary and Fulton Manager Mike Gunn, he and Ken-Tenn EMS Director Kevin Kelley coordinated the effort to make the local ambulance service eligible for the contributions through AmazonSmile.
The charity under which Ken-Tenn EMS may be accessed is Twin Cities Ambulance Service, which may be used when prompted, to identify the charity to receive the .5% of the purchase price.
