AREA OBITUARIES -- SHIRLEY EASLEY HAWKS
Mrs. Shirley Easley Hawks, age 85, of Fulton, passed away
Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Fulton Nursing and Rehab in
Fulton.
She was born on April 3, 1935 in Fulton County, to the late Herman and
Mildred Browder Easley.
Shirley was a lifelong member of the Fulton First United Methodist Church
where she taught Children's Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She
was a Fulton City High School graduate and attended Murray State University.
She was a long time employee of the State of Kentucky Mental Health
as an Office Manager. Some of hers and her husband, Jerry's most enjoyable memories were
watching their grandsons play sports.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hawks whom she had been married for 64 years, a son, Mike (Melanie) Hawks of South Fulton, Tenn., two grandsons, Corbin (Chelsey) Hawks of Paducah, Ky. and Harrison
Hawks of South Fulton, and a sister-in-law Jill Easley of Seymour, Ind.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, George Easley
and two sisters, Betty Ann (John) Brown and Sue (Pete) Byars.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18 at the Obion County
Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and
friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
