AREA OBITUARIES -- DONNIE JACKSON

Donnie Jackson, a resident of South Fulton, died Dec. 19 at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was 46.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 22 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, of Fulton, and burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held 5 - 8 p.m. Dec. 21 and from 8 a.m. until the hour of service. Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Ross Jackson, of South Fulton, to whom he was married June 8, 2012; his mother, Alice Jackson, of South Fulton; two sons, Harlee and Rylee Jackson, both of South Fulton; a daughter, Kaylee Bridgewater, of South Fulton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylon R. Jackson; his maternal grandparents, Elwyn and Frances Taylor; and paternal grandparents, Waymon and Polly Jackson.

Born Feb. 28, 1974 in Obion County, Tenn., he was currently working for Collier Home Improvement as a painter and previously worked for Mike Cash Construction as a carpenter.

He was a great dad and a hard worker.

He was loved by many.
