SFHS boys, girls teams overpower Bradford

South Fulton Lady Red Devils tacked another win to their record in Bradford, Tenn. on Monday night, Jan. 4. South Fulton finished on top of a 39-37 final score.

Kailey Mayo helped get the game started in the first quarter after hitting a three-point basket and both of her shots from the free throw line. Mayo had five of the Lady Red Devil’s 10 points in the first quarter.

The Lady Red Devils pulled away in the second quarter adding 15 points to take the lead. Katie Barclay hit a field goal and a three point basket in the second quarter for five of her seven game points.

Sophia Hodges contributed four points of her game high 12 points, in the third quarter as the Lady Red Devils maintained the lead to finish the quarter with 30 points to Bradford’s 23 points.

Abbi McFarland hit two field goals in the fourth quarter to help push the Lady Red Devils to the top of a 39-37 victory.

The Red Devils defeated Bradford in their home court with a five point night cap.

Bryce McFarland had a game high of 16 points, four of which came out of the first quarter when he hit two free throws and a field goal. McFarland tacked on four more points in the second quarter hitting two field goals.

Beau Britt had three points in the third quarter. Britt had 10 game points.

Brock Brown had six points from the free throw line in the fourth quarter for his final six points of the game.

Eli Carlisle had five points. Conner Allen and Drew Barclay both added three points for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils record is now 8-2. The Red Devils have two wins and no losses in the district.
