Results mixed for Devils, Lady Devils Friday

The Lady Red Devils finished seven points behind the Gleason Lady Bulldogs Jan. 8 after putting up a big fight the entire night.
The Lady Red Devils trailed the Lady Bulldogs by seven points after finishing the first quarter with 11 points to the Lady Bulldogs 18. The Lady Red Devils fought back to cut the lead to one point going into halftime, 24-25. The Lady Red Devils added four points in the third quarter to make the score 28-33. The Lady Red Devils finished the game strong scoring nine points in the first quarter but couldn’t find a way to take the lead finishing the game behind the Lady Bulldogs 37-44.
Sophia Hodges started the game scoring eight of her game-high 14 points in the first quarter after hitting two field goals and four of her five free throws.
Cashaya McClerkin scored her six-game points in the second quarter hitting both of her free throws and two field goals.
Aubree Gore and Sophia Hodges each hit a field goal in the third quarter to score the team’s four points in the third quarter.
Abbi McFarland hit five of her seven points in the fourth quarter after hitting both of her free throws and a three-point basket.

The Red Devils finished the first quarter tied with the Bulldogs Jan. 8 with 18 points. The Red Devils pulled away from the Bulldogs in the second quarter adding 16 points to bring the score to 34-25. The Red Devils continued to tack on points in the third quarter to make the score 41-33. The Red Devils finished on top scoring 22 points in the third quarter to make the final score 63- 41.
The Red Devils finished on top of the Bulldogs with a final score of 63-41.
Brock Brown started strong for the Red Devils in the first quarter with six of his 14 game points. Brown had three field goals.
Conner Allen hit two three-point baskets in the second quarter for his six points.
Brock Brown and Rider Whitehead each added a field goal in the third quarter for four of the Red Devils’ seven-point
Bryce McFarland contributed three points in the third quarter, for three of his 15 points.
Beau Britt finished the game strong with 11 of his 16 game-high points in the fourth quarter.
