Hickman’s Insteel Wire Products Governor’s Safety Award winner

The Insteel Wire Products Manufacturing Plant in Hickman, Kentucky has been awarded the Governor’s Safety and Health Award for achieving over 250,000 hours of work without an injury.

Hickman Plant General Manager Rob Hitesman said, “With guidance and support from our Home Office team, our Hickman facility team has worked very hard to put in place the processes and systems that encourage and result in safe behaviors and conditions. We are proud to receive this award and I want to thank the entire team for their continued dedication and commitment to operational excellence.”

Insteel Industries Inc. Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer H.O. Woltz III congratulated all employees of the company’s Hickman plant.

The Kentucky Governor’s Safety and Health Award is earned by approximately 40 companies in Kentucky each year.

Insteel is the nation’s largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. Insteel manufactures and markets prestressed concrete strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement.
