‘Pig pen’ participants needed

“This little piggy” will be making an appearance at the Banana Festival, along with a number of his piggy pals, when the Greased Pig Contest is slated for Sept. 15 at 1 p.m., behind the drive through mail drop off for Fulton Post office, and across from The Keg restaurant, downtown Fulton.

Children will take their turn in one of four age categories, including Preschool, grades Kindergarten through one, grades two through three and grades four through five, as they enter an enclosed area to test their skills in an attempt to corral the piglets.

Ribbons will be awarded.

A registration form must be completed by a parent or guardian and submitted no later than Sept. 14 at 12 noon. There is no entry fee. Forms may be mailed to Joanie Cavaness, 3855 Hwy. 51N, Fulton, Ky. 42041 or the Banana Festival, greased pig, P.O. Box 1516, Fulton, Ky. 42041.

Forms may be obtained on the Banana Festival website, theBananaFestival.com, or by visiting the Fulton Tourism Commission office inside the Fulton City Hall, or the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce inside the South Fulton Municipal Complex.
