Truck wrecks on way to fire

Four South Fulton firefighters en route to the scene of a house fire on West State Line Saturday afternoon received minor injuries when the firetruck reportedly dropped off the side of the roadway, and then flipped, sustaining major damage.

One resident was at home at the time of the fire, but was not injured, after the report of the blaze was dispatched at just after 4 p.m. on July 17.

Damage was sustained at the home of Jay and Kim Murray, with no further specific information available as of press time. Fire Departments from Rives, Water Valley, Cayce and Martin also responded.
