Lawn Chairs, Lemonade event kicks off Tourism concerts

May 15, 2022

The Fulton Tourism Commission and the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce partnered with local merchants May 14 for “Lawn Chairs and Lemonade”, an event which featured a free concert by Lindell Street Blues Band on Fulton’s Lake Street bandstand, and drawings for Twin Cities’ businesses’ gift baskets, as well as $100 in Chamber Bucks.

A portion of Lake Street was blocked off to traffic to provide an area for those in attendance to bring a lawn chair, have some lemonade, and listen to live music.

Saturday shoppers in Lake Street’s Vine & Branch, Two Doors Down, Sweet Magnolia Home and South Fulton’s Rustic Rooster, on Broadway, had the opportunity to register for gift basket give-aways from each location, announced during the Saturday evening concert.

Wendy Puckett was the winner drawn to receive the gift basket from Rustic Rooster; Teressa Campbell was the winner of the gift basket from Sweet Magnolia Home; Debra Sanders won the gift basket provided by Vine & Branch; and Kay __ Parker won the gift basket from Two Doors Down. The winner of the drawing for $100 in Chamber Bucks was Benita Fuzzell.

Over 100 people were in attendance for the first in a series of free Summer concerts planned by Fulton Tourism Commission.
