Cox elected Clinton’s Mayor, Natividad Sheriff

In the Hickman County general election, Ben Natividad won the race for Sheriff with 59 absentee votes, 85 from Columbus, 128 from Clinton #1, 131 from Clinton #2, 132 from Clinton #3, 186 from Springhill, 240 from Fulgham for a grand total of 961 votes. Thomas J. Dickson Sr. had 38 absentee votes, 77 from Columbus, 169 from Clinton #1, 174 from Clinton #2, 154 from Clinton #3, 95 from Springhill, 99 from Fulgham for a grand total of 806 votes.

Republican James Comer will return for a second term as Kentucky First District’s United States Representative, receiving 69% of the vote to Democrat Paul Walker’s 31%, according to unofficial results.
James R. Comer won the race for United States Representative for the First Congressional District with 78 absentee votes, 118 from Columbus, 162 from Clinton #1, 223 from Clinton #2, 187 from Clinton #3, 208 from Springhill, 259 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1235 votes. Paul Walker had 18 absentee votes, 47 from Columbus, 133 from Clinton #1, 73 from Clinton #2, 95 from Clinton #3, 78 from Springhill, 77 from Fulgham for a grand total of 521 votes.

Kentucky State Representative Steven Jack Rudy, a Republican, won his seat in the District 1 race, with 5764 votes to Democrat Desiree Owen’s 3480 votes.

Steven Jack Rudy won the race for State Representative for the First Representative District with 75 absentee votes, 111 from Columbus, 165 from Clinton #1, 220 from Clinton #2, 184 from Clinton #3, 186 from Springhill, 252 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1193 votes. Desiree Owen had 20 absentee votes, 53 from Columbus, 128 from Clinton #1, 78 from Clinton #2, 102 from Clinton #3, 97 from Springhill, 85 from Fulgham for a grand total of 563 votes.

Michael B. Stacey will be the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the First Judicial District receiving 66 absentee votes, 126 from Columbus, 220 from Clinton #1, 212 from Clinton #2, 215 from Clinton #3, 184 from Springhill, 205 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1228 votes.

Cinda Bailey Yates will be the Circuit Clerk receiving 78 absentee votes, 134 from Columbus, 243 from Clinton #1, 242 from Clinton #2, 238 from Clinton #3, 210 from Springhill, 240 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1385 votes.

Amanda McClure Ballentine will be the Property Valuation Administrator receiving 76 absentee votes, 133 from Columbus, 239 from Clinton #1, 228 from Clinton #2, 232 from Clinton #3, 200 from Springhill, 240 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1348 votes.

Kenny Wilson will be the County Judge Executive receiving 89 absentee votes, 143 from Columbus, 237 from Clinton #1, 265 from Clinton #2, 251 from Clinton #3, 218 from Springhill, 306 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1509 votes.

Jason Batts will be County Attorney with 86 absentee votes, 141 from Columbus, 230 from Clinton #1, 252 from Clinton #2, 248 from Clinton #3, 225 from Springhill, 295 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1477 votes.

James “Jimbo” Berry will be County Clerk with 84 absentee votes, 136 from Columbus, 246 from Clinton #1, 253 from Clinton #2, 243 from Clinton #3, 214 from Springhill, 248 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1426 votes.

Chad J. Barber will be Jailer with 71 absentee votes, 116 from Columbus, 223 from Clinton #1, 209 from Clinton #2, 217 from Clinton #3, 191 from Springhill, 217 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1244 votes.

Paula Boaz will remain Coroner with 77 absentee votes, 131 from Columbus, 240 from Clinton #1, 240 from Clinton #2, 241 from Clinton #3, 211 from Springhill, 230 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1370 votes.

Henry Cole will remain Magistrate in the First Magisterial District with 15 absentee votes, 132 from Columbus, 224 from Clinton #1, for a grand total of 371 votes.

Gary G. Jones will be Constable in the First Magisterial District with 13 absentee votes, 106 from Columbus, 217 from Clinton #1, for a grand total of 336 votes.

Kory Naranjo will remain Magistrate in the Second Magisterial District with 35 absentee votes, 232 from Clinton #2, 224 from Clinton #3, for a grand total of 491 votes.

Irvin W. Stroud will remain Magistrate in the Third Magisterial District with 21 absentee votes, 207 from Springhill, 232 from Fulgham for a grand total of 460 votes.

Hunter B. Whitesell will remain District Judge for the First Judicial District with 74 absentee votes, 125from Columbus, 218 from Clinton #1, 215 from Clinton #2, 226 from Clinton #3, 190 from Springhill, 255 from Fulgham for a grand total of 1303 votes.

In the First Educational District, Caleb Deweese will be board member with 20 absentee votes, 90 from Clinton #1, 145 from Clinton #2, for a grand total of 255 votes.

In the Fourth Educational District, Martie W. Templeton will be board member with 19 absentee votes, 218 from Clinton #3, 82 from Springhill for a grand total of 319 votes.

In the Fifth Educational District, Thomas Dodson will be board member with 8 absentee votes, 111 from Springhill, 110 from Fulgham for a grand total of 229 votes.

Fred Cox will be Mayor of the City of Clinton with 8 absentee votes, 36 from Clinton #1, 49 from Clinton #2, 80 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 173 votes. Phyllis Campbell with 10 absentee votes, 36 from Clinton #1, 49 from Clinton #2, 49 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 144 votes.

For Clinton City Council Howard Dillard received 13 absentee votes, 57 from Clinton #1, 64 from Clinton #2, 93 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 227 votes; Betty Morrow had 15 absentee votes, 46 from Clinton #1, 67 from Clinton #2, 95 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 223 votes; Alex Thomas had 15 absentee votes, 54 from Clinton #1, 60 from Clinton #2, 83 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 212 votes; John Kelly received 13 absentee votes, 46 from Clinton #1, 72 from Clinton #2, 92 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 223 votes; Chad Frizzell with 15 absentee votes, 53 from Clinton #1, 78 from Clinton #2, 98 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 244 votes; Tommy Kimbro received 13 absentee votes, 47 from Clinton #1, 73 from Clinton #2, 96 from Clinton #3 for a grand total of 229 votes.

Kay Ferguson will remain Mayor of the City of Columbus with 1 absentee, 53 from Columbus for a grand total of 54.

For Columbus City Council Kimberly D. Ferguson received 1 absentee, 51 from Columbus for a grand total of 52; Sue Jones had 1 absentee, 45 from Columbus for a grand total of 46; and Christina Thomas received 1 absentee, 36 from Columbus for a grand total of 37.

For a constitutional amendment, voters were asked, “Are you in favor of providing constitutional rights to victims of crime, including the right to be treated fairly, with dignity and respect, and the right to be informed and to have a voice in the judicial process?” Voters answered “No” with 18 absentee votes, 77 from Columbus, 129 from Clinton #1, 148 from Clinton #2, 135 from Clinton #3, 138 from Springhill, 157 from Fulgham for a grand total of 802 votes. “Yes” received 65 absentee votes, 66 from Columbus, 130 from Clinton #1, 113 from Clinton #2, 123 from Clinton #3, 110 from Springhill, 145 from Fulgham for a grand total of 752 votes.
