AREA OBITUARIES -- MATTHEW SCOTT WHARTON

Mr. Matthew Scott Wharton, 54 of Jackson, TN and formerly of Fulton, KY. passed away June 1, 2023, at the Jackson -Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Matthew was born in Fulton, KY on December 29, 1968 to the late David T. Wharton and Nancy "Matthews" Wharton.

He is survived by his brothers David B. Wharton, of Union City, TN, Robert E. Wharton of Millington, TN, Neal Wharton (Wendy) of Martin, TN, two nephews: Matthew A. Wharton, Michael Wharton and four nieces: Cayce Talbert, Libby Wharton, Angelina McClure and Joy Wharton and a God Sister, SeFarrah "Cookie" Echols.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Brian Wharton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the Hornbeak Funeral Home of Futon's funeral chapel with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM, Saturday until the funeral hour.
