AREA OBITUARIES -- GALE VINCENT
Mr. Gale Vincent, age 75, of South Fulton, Tenn. passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on July 6, 1948 in Mayfield, Ky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Gussie
Vincent.
Gale was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran where he served in the Vietnam War. He was a Purple Heart Recipient and received several Vietnam Service medals. Gale retired from Waymatic after 46 years, where he was a supervisor over the trailer department. Gale was also a Mason and a member of Roberts Lodge # 172.
He is survived by his wife, Pat McGowan Vincent, to whom he was married Oct. 21, 1967; two daughters, Lisa (Jason) Yates of South Fulton, Tenn. and Thea Vincent of South Fulton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Carly Reams of North Canton, Ohio, Vincent Yates of South Fulton, Tenn., Spencer Yates of South Fulton, Tenn. and Jackson Vowell of South Fulton, Tenn.; a sister, Anna Faye McGowan of Union City, Tenn. and two brothers, Steve Vincent of Paducah, Ky. and Mike Vincent of Louisville, Ky..
He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Maddox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, in the Hornbeak Funeral Home funeral chapel in Fulton with Dr. Ron Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m., Wed., July 19, with a Masonic service to be held at 7 p.m.
