Work Zone Lane Restriction on Purchase Parkway at KY-TN State Line in Fulton Starts Monday, July 31

Work on KY 116 Overpass to take about 3 days to complete

PADUCAH, Ky. (July 28, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to restrict northbound traffic to one lane on the Purchase Parkway at the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line at Fulton starting Monday, July 31, 2023.

The Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway northbound will be restricted to one lane at mile point 0.0 to allow deck patching on the KY 116/State Line Road Overpass.

All northbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some minor delays are possible during the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work.

The work is expected to take about three days to complete, weather permitting.

There will be no impact on southbound Purchase Parkway traffic. This section of the Purchase Parkway also carries U.S. 51.

KYTC engineers anticipate this work zone will be removed around 3 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2.
