ALERT: Purchase Parkway Northbound Blocked at 17mm in Graves County

PADUCAH, Ky. (August 15, 2023) – Kentucky State Police and the Graves County Sheriff’s Department report the northbound lanes of the Purchase Parkway are blocked at the 17 mile marker between Fulton and Mayfield.

A double trailer SEMI has crashed in a one-lane section of a work zone, blocking all northbound traffic.

Estimated duration is 5 hours or approximately 12 p.m., CDT.

Due to the closure of the KY 339 Wingo Exit 14 interchange for ramp reconstruction, Purchase Parkway northbound traffic is being detoured off at the KY 307 Fulton Exit 2 Interchange to take U.S. 45 North to the I-69/KY 80 Exit 21 interchange at the southwest edge of Mayfield.

Motorists who normally travel U.S. 45 through southwestern Graves County should be aware of increased traffic volume along the detour route. Caution is required.
