AREA OBITUARIES -- BOBBY EVANS

Mr. Bobby Evans, age 78 of Fulton, Ky., passed away October 17, 2023 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital ER. in Martin, Tenn.

Mr. Evans was born in Murray, KY on March 20, 1945 to the late Paul Evans and Pauline Evans.

He was married to Margie "Castleman" Evans on September 1, 1967. They were married for 56 years.

Mr. Evans was of the Methodist faith and graduated from Murray High School and Murray State University, in Murray, Ky.

He taught Agriculture for several years at the high school level and was a retired Manager for AG Credit in Hickman, KY. He also was Vice-President of loans for The Citizens Bank in Hickman, Ky.

Bobby is survived by one bother: Loyd Evans (Yvonne) of Murray, Ky., and a sister: Merry Ann Lewellyn (Ken) of Gallatin, Tenn. Also, surviving are five nephews: Thomas Henson (Patty) of North Olmsted, Ohio, Russell Evans (Nancy) of Murray, Ky. and Randy Evans (Missy) of Murray, Ky., Matt Perry (Jo) of Olympia, Washington, James Beach of Lexington, Ky. and three nieces, Beth Kimball (Dan) of Murray, Ky., Jessica Beach Wright of Gallatin, Tenn. and Martha Holzheimer of Berea, Ohio.

He lived most of his life in this area and enjoyed wood working in his spare time. He made many pieces to give to family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noonm Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel

with Rev. John Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery in Calloway County, Ky.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday, October 23 at the funeral home.
