RED RIBBON FUNDRAISER FOR EMPLOYEES FOLLOWING BUSINESS FIRE

March 09, 2024

After only a week, $3,000 was raised to benefit employees of Lenny's at Reed Brothers, after a fire engulfed the South Fulton business last month. Lake Street business owners Teresa Wright and Lai Ann Mitchell, assisted by Melanie Hawks, partnered to create red ribbons, for display at businesses and residences, which could be purchased for a $10 donation. Mitchell donated the ribbon and Wright and Hawks created the ribbons for sale. According to Wright, many people donated funds, in excess of $10, and even once all ribbons were sold, more contributions continued to come in. The $3,000 was raised in just under one week, and was presented by Wright, last week, to Lenny Hohlbein, owner of Lenny's, to give to his employees, many of which, he said, have helped with clean up efforts at the business location, after the fire.
