WHY I AM A LION

In recognition of the Fulton Lions Club’s 100th birthday this year, members are sharing their response to Why I Am A Lion. This week, Lions Club member Martha Kaye Wood shares her response. “I enjoy being a member because the Lions Club is always thinking of what we can do to help the Twin Cities, especially scholarships for students of both schools,” she said. She is a lifelong local resident and graduate of Fulton City High School. She attended UTM, then became a beautician. She also worked with Housing & Urban Development before spending 30 years employed with Hillview Clinic. She and husband Gwin have been married for 34 years and they have four children and 14 grandchildren. (Photo submitted)
