Rural Partners Network, Community Ventures Hold Housing, Community Resource Fair in Fulton

Connecting Fulton County, Area Residents with Housing, Lending, Employment,

Mental Health Services

FULTON, KY. (March 14, 2024) – Community Ventures and the Rural Partners Network will hold a housing and community resource fair to connect Fulton and neighboring county residents with important information about housing, lending, employment, mental health, and other services.

“This event will be an opportunity to learn more about new housing construction and housing rehab in Fulton and surrounding counties, as well as a myriad of other information to support families in Western Kentucky,” said Brenda Weaver, Community Ventures President of Lending and Western Kentucky Disaster Relief. “I encourage residents to drop by the fair to discover resources that can assist them as they recover and rebuild.”

The fair will be held on Tuesday, March 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Pontotoc Center at 100 West State Line Street. The fair is free to attend, and guests will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from U. S. Department of Agriculture’s division of Rural Development, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Ventures, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, FNB Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Workforce Development, and more.

“Adequate housing brings stability to families,” said Rural Partners Network Community Liaison Brad Rodgers. “It helps people have dignity, and it is essential to healthy communities. Rural Partners Network, along with each of our partners, recognize that housing is fundamental to economic development, and we hope to bring every available resource to bear on the housing needs of this area. We want to help community members make connections and make things happen in terms of improving housing conditions."
