FISD SUPERINTENDENT ACCEPTS POSITION IN LOUISVILLE

May 15, 2024

In an email sent to Fulton Independent School District faculty and staff May 15, Superintendent Jeff Rogers provided notice he has accepted a principal's position in Louisville, with plans to remain with FISD through June 30.

"I wanted to wait until closing day to let you know so as not to interfere with the last week of school, but I also know how the rumor mill goes and I wanted you to hear it from me directly. I have accepted the Principal position at Anchorage Public School in Louisville, Ky. It was a decision that puts me back closer to my daughters and my new granddaughter," Rogers said in the email.

He also said he appreciated the efforts of the staff during "a difficult time" for the district.

Rogers commended the diligence and commitment displayed from the staff and the efforts of the central office staff, which played a part in the complete overhaul of the district's financial policies and procedures.

"I am happy to be able to say with fidelity that our financial outlook going forward is bright. Fulton Independent is financially stable and will be able to continue to serve our students," Rogers said.
