RAIN FORECAST IMPACTS BANANA FESTIVAL SEPT. 14 PLANNED EVENTS
Because of the forecast of rain Saturday morning, Sept. 14, the Banana Festival's Fulton Police Department Pistol and Turkey Shoot has been cancelled, as the area of the FPD Shooting Range, on Park Road in Fulton, experiences excessive flooding.
The Touch-A-Truck event scheduled for Sept. 14 has also been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
As of today, free Kids' Day events and free Special Needs Day events scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Pontotoc Park area of downtown Fulton, are still planned. In the event of rain, all Kids Day and Special Needs Day events will be moved to The Willingham Center, 200 Carr St., Fulton, next to Fulton's First United Methodist Church.
