SENS. HOWELL AND CARROLL OFFER JOINT STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF COMMONWEALTH’S ATTORNEY MIKE STACY
FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 30, 2025) –
The following is a joint statement from Sens. Jason Howell and Danny Carroll on the passing of 1st Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney Mike Stacy on Tuesday.
“It’s hard to accept that horrible things happen to good people. Mike Stacy was a good man—passionate about protecting the people of the River Counties. He was a steady and respected voice for justice, a dedicated public servant, and a fixture in the courtroom who earned the trust of families across Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Hickman Counties.
“Mike’s deep commitment to the law and the people he served will be remembered, and his legacy will continue to shape the region he cared so much about.
“Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with his wife, Dawn, his son, Bo—who was hospitalized but discharged—and the entire Stacy family during this time of profound grief.
“We join the community in mourning Mike’s passing and honoring the life of a man who spent his career standing up for others.”
###Sen. Jason Howell, District 1, and Sen. Danny Carroll, District 2, represents Kentucky’s westernmost Senate districts, which together include all four counties served by the 1st Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney.
