Work is part of the I-69 Interchange Re-configuration Project
PADUCAH, Ky. (May 21, 2025) – A contractor for the Tennessee Department of Transportation plans to continue work zone lane restrictions along sections of KY 116/State Line Road and Interstate 69/U.S. 51 in Fulton from May 28 to June 4.A geotechnical crew will be working along KY 116/State Line Road between Old Pierce Road and U.S. 45/W. Highland Drive, or the 12.1 to 12.8-mile points. Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. There will also be lane and shoulders restrictions along Interstate 69/U.S. 51 near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line. Drilling work will take place along this corridor between Industrial Park Road, across from South Fulton Middle and High School, in Tennessee to just south of KY 166/Middle Road in Kentucky. Motorists should be alert for signage and trucks with arrow boards guiding traffic to shift into the open lane in the work zone.Lane restrictions will be active during daylight hours whenever weather allows.Use caution where workers and equipment are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. This is part of the I-69 Interchange Re-configuration Project connecting the proposed Interstate 69 in Tennessee (currently U.S. 51) with Interstate 69 (formerly the Purchase Parkway) in Kentucky.
