AREA OBITUARIES – Jerry Lynn Kell

Jerry Lynn Kell, age 78, of Fulton, Ky., passed away Tues., Aug. 19, 2025 at Baptist Health of Paducah in Paducah, Ky.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1946 in Fulton, Ky. to the late James and Audrella Toon Kell.
He was a member of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ and was proud member of Pheasants Forever, and Ducks Unlimited.
He graduated from Murray State University with a double major in Biology and English and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He was an avid duck hunter, pheasant hunter and loved bass fishing.
He loved making memories with his family, close and former friends, cherishing all of them.
He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tenn. as a production supervisor and lived most of his life in this area.
He is survived by two sons, Brad (Staci) Kell, of Draffenville, Ky., and Matt Kell, of Water Valley, Ky.; a step-son, Brian (Amy) Burnette; his grandchildren, Gatlyn Kell, of Clinton, Ky., Teddy Burnette and Jill Burnette, both of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Drake Fooshee, of Draffenville, Ky.; and a sister, Shirley (Ronald) Gossum, of Wingo, Ky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Burnette Kell.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 23, 2025 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
