SFFD FIREFIGHTERS PARTICIPATE IN 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB

September 08, 2025

Six firefighters from South Fulton Fire & Rescue joined other First Responders from the area in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Sat., Sept. 6. This event is held annually. It’s symbolism, for those who may not know, revolves around the 110 flights of stairs that many of the 343 Firefighters who were killed at the World Trade Center climbed. This group is just entering the Fire Service. Most of them weren’t alive on Sept. 11, 2001. Their participation in this event speaks volumes about who they are as individuals, how they were raised, and their desire to be a part of the Fire Services long standing history of “Service above Self”. Pictured are Firefighters Brandon Morris, Ellen Colston, Jacob Nagel, Marissa Baggett, Skylar Irvan, and Dylan Graves. (Photo submitted)
