FCMS STUDENTS BECOME PUBLISHED AUTHORS

Students in Lekesha Nash’s middle school English Language Arts classes at Fulton County Middle School have officially become published authors! After completing a writing unit on personal narratives, each student crafted and submitted an original story for inclusion in a middle school anthology entitled Pieces of Our World. From these heartfelt and creative submissions, fifty pieces were selected to be published in the book. Each student author designed an accompanying illustration to bring their story to life. FCMS student Lily Linder earned the special honor of designing the book’s cover, a piece that beautifully captures the theme of individuality and shared experience reflected in the collection. Copies of Pieces of Our World are now available for purchase. The book will be displayed in Nash’s classroom, the Fulton County Middle School Library, and in middle school libraries across the country representing a proud milestone showcasing the creativity and voice of Fulton County students.
