AREA OBITUARIES – Robby Robertson

Robby Robertson, age 84, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away on Wed., Jan. 21, 2026, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1941, in Cainsville, Mo., to the late Ray Robertson and Bonnie Robertson.
He was a United States Navy Veteran and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Navy in 1985 after 25 years of dedicated service, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church and was employed as a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Legg Robertson, whom he married on Oct. 18, 1986; two children, Tracey Michelle (David) Green, of Fresno, Calif., and Bonnie (Thomas) Bonskowski, of Union City, Tenn.; one stepson, Darrell (Molly) Matheny, of South Fulton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Samantha (Jake) Blakely, of Waverly, Tenn., Nicholas (Windy) Bonskowski, of Clinton, Ky., Michael Vergara, of Texas, and Alicia Vergara, of Fresno, Calif.; a step-grandson, Josh Matheny, of South Fulton, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Elliot Lee Blakely and Aurora Vergara; and two step-great-grandchildren, Athena Tate and Neva Burks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Robertson; and his sister, Marilyn Taraba.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 6, 2026, at Greenlea Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
