AREA OBITUARIES – Mary Jo Lattus

Mary Jo Lattus, age 96, of Hickman, Ky., passed away peacefully at her residence on Sun., March 22, 2026.
She was born on May 14, 1929, in Fulton County, Ky., to the late Joseph Anthony Werner and Myra Mignone Williams Werner.
Mary Jo was a lifelong member and the oldest parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A devoted homemaker, she had a passion for sewing, creating clothing, and crafting handmade quilts. She delighted in making vintage dresses for Barbie dolls and tended to her flower garden with great care. Mary Jo lived her entire life in the Hickman area, surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Tony (Kathi) Lattus and Stephen Andrew Lattus, both of Hickman, Ky., and her daughter, Christy Lattus, of Hickman, Ky.; four grandchildren, Charles Benjamin (Christian) Lattus, of Hickman, Ky., Kaleigh (Rick) Larson, of South Fulton, Tenn., John (Franki) Harris, of Hickman, Ky., and Marianna Harris, of Murray, Ky.; three great-grandchildren, JD Larson and Noah Larson, of South Fulton, Tenn., and John Wesley Harris, of Hickman, Ky.; and a brother, Paul Werner, of Hickman, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Lattus; two sons; Pat Lattus and Mark Lattus; a brother, Frank Werner; and a sister, Anna Terrett.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Lattus, John Harris, Rick Larson, Shannon Terrett, Jim Keith, Ben Lattus, JD Larson and Noah Larson.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed., March 25, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tues., March 24, 2026.
