Walnut Grove Church Cemetery Decoration Day
Decoration Day for Walnut Grove Church cemetery, Walnut Grove Church Road, South Fulton, Tenn. will be held Sun., May 24. To make a donation to the cemetery fund, send contributions in care of David Ferrell, 8844 Wolf Creek Road, South Fulton, Tenn. 38257.
Pastor Anniversary
Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Mears St., Fulton, Ky., will be celebrating their Pastor’s 31st Anniversary on Sun., June 7, 2026. The 11 a.m. morning speaker and guest church will be Rev. Derrick Fitts and the Mt. Gilead MB Church family from Columbus, Ky. The afternoon program will begin at 2:30 p.m. The guest church for the afternoon will be Rev. Anthony (Tony) Johnson, Sr. and the Mt. Sinai MB Church family from Oakton, Ky. The public is invited to attend.
Enon Cemetery Donations
The Enon Cemetery at the intersection of Highways 307 and 94 needs donations for mowing expenses. Donations may be sent to Enon Cemetery Fund, c/o Kim Slayden Jackson, 8670 State Route 307 S., Fulton, Ky. 42041.
American Legion Meeting
Marshall Alexander Post 72 American Legion and Auxiliary will have their May meeting on Tues., May 19 at 6 p.m. at the Carr Street Community Center. The Legion will provide a light meal which will be followed by a short meeting of both the Legion and Auxiliary. New members are needed in order to keep this Post operating and providing community and veteran services. Eligible veterans are those who have served at least one full day on Federal active duty status and National Guard who have been activated and have orders to show. All current Legion members are urged to attend, and those interested are invited to visit.
Little Obion Cemetery Decoration Day
Decoration Day at Little Obion Cemetery, Wingo, Ky. will be held Sat., May 16. A “dinner on the ground” will be held at noon, and the meat, drinks, and tableware will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish and a lawn chair. Maintenance of the cemetery is funded by donations received on Decoration Day and throughout the year. The trustees will be on hand to receive donations and answer any questions. If unable to attend but would like to make a contribution, checks may be sent to: Little Obion Cemetery Fund, c/o Barbara Tarver, P.O. Box 44, Clinton, KY 42031.
Ken-Tenn Foodbank
The Ken-Tenn Foodbank, 212 Carr St., Fulton, will distribute commodities to Fulton County households living in poverty, TEFAP, will be Fri., May 22 from 9 - 11 a.m. Distribution to South Fulton, Tenn. qualifying residents of the 1 for 84 program, will be Sat., June from 9 - 11 a.m. Every Tuesday fruits and vegetables will be available at 9:30 a.m. on a first come, first serve basis, and a Blessing Box is available every day.
Storehouse Ministries Fan Donations
Storehouse Ministries, 311 Main St. Fulton, is now in need of new fans to provide to area families in need. To donate a fan, drop offs may be made at Storehouse Ministries, which is open Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All items donated to Storehouse Ministries are given to anyone in need, at no cost.
Rock Springs Cemetery Donations
Rock Springs Cemetery is requesting donations for mowing expenses and would like to raise $5,000. Checks may be made to the Rock Springs Maint Fund. Clinton Bank, 220 East Clay St., Clinton Ky. 42031 or payable to Rock Springs Maint Fund Marcia Cox 2267 US Hwy 51 Fulton Ky. 42041.
Roberts Lodge Meeting
Roberts Lodge 172, Free and Accepted Masons, meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Lodge, located at 210 Washington St., Fulton. A meal at 6 p.m. precedes the meeting.
Breakfast Buddies
The Smiles On Seniors Breakfast Buddies will meet at 9 a.m. at Buttercup’s Bistro on the third Thursday of each month for dutch treat breakfast. All seniors ages 55 and older are invited to attend.
New Bingo Location
Smiles On Seniors, S.O.S., will host “Treasure Bingo” on the fourth Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the Meadows Hotel Blue Room, use rear parking lot entrance to the hotel. All seniors age 55 and older are invited to attend. There is no cost to participate. Those planning to attend may bring one item from home, which they no longer use or want, to be used as a bingo prize.
Storehouse Ministries Needs
Storehouse Ministries, 311 Main St., Fulton, Ky., is in need of new men, women and kids’ coats and hoodies to give to people in need in this area. Storehouse Ministries is open Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Everything is free to anyone in need.
S.O.S. Lunch Bunch
Smiles On Seniors, S.O.S., a 501(c)(3) organization, invites all area seniors, ages 55 and over, to gather together for “Lunch Bunch”, a time for dutch treat lunch and fellowship the first Monday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Fulton Pizza Hut, 1101 West Highland Drive, in Fulton.
