Powers, McFarland plan June wedding

Terry and Rubberta Powers, of Martin, Tenn., are pleased to announce the engagement and coming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Ann Powers to Jeremy Bryce McFarland, of South Fulton, Tenn. He is the son of Jeremy and Teresa McFarland, of South Fulton. 
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bea Dean and the late Rubbert Dean, Sr., of Martin, and the late Alvin and Lou Ann Powers, of Dresden, Tenn. 
She is a 2022 graduate of Westview High School. She graduated in December 2025 from Union University, earning a BA in Business Management and Marketing. While at Union, she was an active member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Rebecca is employed as a Patient Care Coordinator at Performance Chiropractic in Martin. 
The groom-elect is the grandson of Scott and Debbie McFarland and Joyce Pickering and the late Donald Pickering, all of South Fulton. He is the great-grandson of Frank Adams, of Barlow, Ky. 
He is a 2021 graduate of South Fulton High School and a 2024 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he earned a BS in Education. He is employed as a Mathematics teacher at South Fulton High School. He also serves as head coach of the South Fulton Lady Red Devils Basketball team and assistant coach of both the South Fulton Middle School Boys Basketball and South Fulton High School Baseball teams. 
The wedding will be held Sat., June 6 at the Barn at White Oaks in Murray, Ky. Following a honeymoon at Disney World, the couple will live in South Fulton.
